In the news: Vallkree promises eco-friendly offroad freedom
"Retro-styled electric bike from Vallkree promises eco-friendly offroad freedom"
"While the Vallkree resembles a vintage bike it makes for an electrifying alternative to a traditional mountain bike. The company says riders can tackle beach dunes, mountain trails or hill roads.
"Founded in 2013, Vallkree started out making a more traditional single-engine bike.
"Terumi Iwagami, CEO at Vallkree, says the progression to dual motors positions the bikes as a simpler alternative to riding a motorbike.
“We call Vallkree bikes ‘freedom machines’ because they are incredibly fun and easy to use. With dual motors, you don’t need a motorbike license, registration, petrol, or even a destination. Just a helmet, the desire for adventure and the freedom to ride off-road”, said Iwagami.
"Vallkree’s 1920s style is guaranteed to draw attention from passersby – and several celebrities are supporting the bike, including Game of Thrones actor Jason Mamoa, surfing greats Kelly Slater, Tom Carroll, and Dope Lemon’s Angus Stone.
"The dual-motor Mechanism is the first bike of its kind to be made by an Australian owned and operated company."
